Community Center
21st Century Community Center
The goal of C-Cubed Inc. is to establish multiple community centers in the Houston and surrounding areas. The purpose of the centers is to provide a safe and positive environment where youth that are defined as latchkey and those with little or no supervision can go daily after school and enjoy them selves in a respectable atmosphere. This will provide an alternative to other wise possible delinquent behavior. The center will provide holistic services ranging from worship services to student tutorials. The center will be a one-stop center for youth. Besides life skill seminars, tutorials, mentoring, we will offer hot food, video games, internet access, movie nights, annual events, back-to-school rallies and a variety of other activities that keep the youth coming. Coming is the KEY!
After School Tutorials
Education is a critical part of our focus. With out knowledge the people perish. We want learning to be exciting and self promoted.
Computer Technology
In the 21st Century technology should be easily and readily accessible to everyone. The problem is that technology isn’t in some of our urban communities. Our goal is to provide youth and their families with the current technology (GED preparation, Microsoft tutorials and basic access to the world wide web) so that they may compete in a global arena.
Life Skills Seminars
Everyone tries to define this thing called Character. It's not hard. Character is doing what's right when nobody's looking. This is our goal. To get youth to make decisions in private that will affect them positively in public.
Games & Activities
Youth can captures the excitement of being around others that have the same interest. Games and activites stimulate situations that allow character to shine and be polished. It also helps keep the attention and interest on youth. The purpose is that we keep them coming and when they come change will occur.
Christians
By Maya Angelou
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!
